The Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper was held on
February 16 from 5-6:30pm. Live music and lots of pancakes kept the Mardi Gras themed evening fun. The proceeds
for this fundraiser go towards the annual Christmas Shopping the Youth do for less fortunate families. 
The theme for the 2009 ECW Bazaar was "O Come
All Ye Faithful." It was another huge success for the Women of St. James. Everyone worked hard and had a
great time.
On May 1, 2009 Rev. Larry Rice, Rev. Bob Aldrich
and St. James' Sexton, Dave Cook met and bagged trees as part of the EarthKeepers Project to distribute trees to congregations
in the U.P. Fr. Bob then blessed them before they ventured out in the rain to plant a couple on the church grounds.
Trees will then be distributed to St. James parishioners on Sunday, May 3 for planting in their yards. Trees will
be available until gone.
